OpenBet is buying lottery sportsbook depth it can put to work immediately
OpenBet’s 15 September announcement said it had reached an agreement to acquire OmniLogic, a sportsbook technology provider principally based in Győr, Hungary. The specialist team is expected to join OpenBet when the deal completes later in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. [1]
That is a capability purchase in a customer channel OpenBet already occupies. OmniLogic serves regulated lottery operators across EMEA with an omnichannel platform spanning retail, online and mobile, plus trading, risk-management and back-office functions. iGaming Business reported the same industrial logic: lottery sportsbook delivery, not a new vertical. [1][2]
OpenBet already claimed more than 200 global customers, 85 licences and, as of May 2025, 21 lotteries worldwide, including an omnichannel Veikkaus rollout across more than 4,000 point-of-sale terminals and a Loterie Romande mandate covering digital, retail, self-service terminals and managed trading. OmniLogic adds a Central European engineering hub and a stack built for that same lottery-operator job. [13][14]
Lotteries remain the core focus of our growth strategy.

Why this is a good deal for both sides
Acquiry inference OpenBet gets more people who can install, run and evolve lottery sportsbooks across shop estates and digital channels — the work that wins and keeps WLA-member accounts. OmniLogic’s team gets OpenBet’s licences, global account list and adjacent modules (trading, player protection, geolocation) behind them. Commercial terms are private, which is typical for a privately held gaming-tech tuck-in. The public story is coverage: more of the lottery sportsbook job, in more places, with a stronger combined bench.
What is combining: channels, people and a lottery-operator customer
| Piece | What joins OpenBet | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Acquirer | OpenBet, privately owned through OB Global Holdings LLC | Global sportsbook platform already inside lottery accounts |
| Target | OmniLogic, sportsbook and lottery technology, HQ Győr | Specialist delivery for regulated lottery operators in EMEA |
| Channels | Retail, online and mobile on one Advanced Betting Platform | Lottery tenders are written for omnichannel estates, not a website only |
| Team | Specialist team principally based in Győr expected to join at completion | The people who run the stack move with it |
| Founders | Vicente Torrejón and Dávid Márk Gábor, named by OpenBet | Continuity signal for customers and staff |
| Buyer footprint | 200+ customers, 85 licences, 21 lotteries (May 2025 company count) | Distribution OmniLogic could not match as a smaller independent |
| Named buyer deployments | Veikkaus (4,000+ POS) and Loterie Romande (digital, retail, SST, trading) | Proof OpenBet already sells this category |
| Timing | Announced 15 September 2026; expected later in 2026 | Subject to regulatory approvals |
OpenBet’s 2025 management buyout with IMG ARENA carried an approximately $450m combined headline and is not a price for OmniLogic. IMG ARENA left the perimeter in November 2025. Use that history only as ownership context: OpenBet is a private, management-aligned platform buying specialist modules. The decision quality sits in lottery coverage, not in recycling the MBO figure. [10][11]
OmniLogic is an operating-stack acquisition, not a single feature
OmniLogic presents itself as a regulated-gaming engineering company rather than a narrow sportsbook front end. Its Advanced Betting Platform, or ABP, is described as a Java and Oracle system with a React front end and open REST APIs, supporting online, mobile and retail channels with unified pricing and content. [6][7]
The published capability set covers live betting, cashout, bet builder, integrated trading, risk dashboards, content management, lottery-platform integration, feed processing, player-account and wallet systems, regulator reporting and managed operations. That breadth matters because lottery sportsbook contracts often require one accountable operating environment across terminals, digital products and control functions.

The three-layer read
- Transaction layer. Bet placement, settlement, cashout, content, pricing and feed processing across retail and digital channels.
- Control layer. Risk, exposure, player accounts, wallets, audit trails, regulator reporting and jurisdiction-specific operating controls.
- Continuity layer. Release engineering, infrastructure, monitoring, incident response, database operations and SRE support.
OmniLogic says ABP can process more than 30,000 transactions per minute. That is a vendor capacity claim, not an audited production KPI. No test configuration, actual utilisation, peak-event record, customer validation, uptime history or incident record accompanies it. [6]
OpenBet attributes more than a decade of relevant service to the specialist team. Secondary company information reportedly dates the current Hungarian Kft. to April 2025. Team experience and legal-entity history are not interchangeable. Diligence must prove the chain of IP, contracts, licences, data obligations and personnel into the acquired perimeter. [1][5]
Lottery sportsbook is expanding as retail estates and digital run as one system
The money in this deal is not a disclosed multiple. It is the category. State-linked lotteries are adding or replacing sportsbook platforms as markets reform and as shop estates go omnichannel. The operator does not buy a widget. It buys terminals, digital, pricing, risk, audit and continuity from a vendor who can be the accountable party. [13][14]
OpenBet’s own deployments show where that demand sits. Veikkaus is a cloud-first sportsbook across online channels and more than 4,000 point-of-sale terminals ahead of Finland’s market reform. Loterie Romande selected OpenBet for digital and retail migration, self-service terminals, managed trading and feed integration. Those are long-lived, high-switching-cost estates. A vendor that can staff them wins the next tender and the renewal after it. [13][14]
| Economic driver | What is already visible | Who benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Omnichannel lottery estates | Retail + online + mobile on OmniLogic’s ABP; Veikkaus and Loterie Romande as OpenBet proof points | Buyer: can bid and run larger estates. Seller: product sits inside those bids. |
| Tender qualification | OpenBet’s 21-lottery claim, WLA Gold Contributor history, named European lottery work | Combined credentials are more useful in public procurement than either firm alone. |
| People leverage | Győr specialist team expected to join; OpenBet already a global platform organisation | Buyer adds delivery seats. Team gets scale, modules and account access. |
| Module attach | OpenBet’s trading, Neccton player-protection, Locator geolocation around a lottery sportsbook core | Seller’s customers can grow wallet-share. Buyer sells more of the stack per account. |
| Switching costs | Terminals, regulator reporting, wallets and trading in one operating environment | Once installed, the combined stack is sticky in the way lottery IT is sticky. |
Call it regulated sportsbook technology and operations, not a generic SaaS label. Licence, implementation, managed service and trading can all sit in the mix. The commercial shape of OmniLogic’s book is private. The industrial shape is not: this is how lottery operators buy sports betting when the shop floor and the phone have to clear the same ticket.
OpenBet gets delivery depth; OmniLogic gets a global home
The disclosed rationale has three legs. First, lotteries are an explicit OpenBet growth priority. Second, OmniLogic adds specialist sportsbook engineering and operating depth. Third, the target is said to bring established operator partnerships that complement OpenBet’s broader product suite and global scale. [1]
| Side | What they gain | Evidence already on the record | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpenBet | More lottery sportsbook engineering and a Győr delivery hub inside a vertical it already sells | 21 lotteries, Veikkaus, Loterie Romande, Konstakis: lotteries are the growth core | Strong |
| OmniLogic team | Global licences, account list and adjacent modules instead of remaining a smaller independent | Team expected to join; founders named; OpenBet 200+ customers and 85 licences | Strong |
| OmniLogic customers | Continuity of the people they already work with, plus OpenBet’s wider stack | Announcement stresses established partnerships and customer continuity | Strong, if service holds |
| OpenBet customers | A deeper lottery sportsbook bench on the same platform family | Omnichannel ABP plus OpenBet trading, RG and geolocation modules | Positive |
| Lottery operators in market | A more complete omnichannel bidder for the next sportsbook replacement | Retail+digital is how Veikkaus and Loterie Romande already bought | Directional |
OpenBet’s lottery credentials are material. It stated in May 2025 that it powered 21 lotteries worldwide and described Veikkaus as an omnichannel rollout spanning more than 4,000 point-of-sale terminals. Loterie Romande separately selected OpenBet for digital and retail platform migration, self-service terminals, managed trading and feed integration. [13][14]
This is a deepening of an existing vertical, not a tourist entry into lottery. OpenBet already sells to that customer. OmniLogic already builds for that customer. Together they cover more of the estate — shops, phones, trading, controls — with more people who know how lottery sportsbook is actually run.
