What OpenBet is buying

OpenBet agreed on 15 September 2026 to acquire OmniLogic, a Győr lottery sportsbook specialist whose platform is built for the same regulated lottery estates the buyer already serves.

OpenBet's agreement to acquire OmniLogic looks straightforward on paper: a large gaming technology platform is adding another specialist supplier. The more interesting part is where OmniLogic sits. Its technology is built around lottery and retail sportsbook environments, areas where OpenBet already has customers, distribution and a broader product stack.

Abstract 3D isometric infrastructure schematic mapping the corporate combination and technology data flows between OpenBet and OmniLogic
FIGURE 1.1: Core structural asset architecture and transactional integration vector of the combined OpenBet operations.

OmniLogic's Advanced Betting Platform is a Java and Oracle sportsbook with a React front end and open REST APIs. The company says ABP handles more than 30,000 tx/min, a throughput claim published on its solutions (opens in a new tab) and technology (opens in a new tab) pages. That is the load lottery estates create when shops and digital channels fire together. OpenBet is buying that operating environment, and the people who have been installing it.

The OpenBet announcement names co-founders Vicente Torrejón and Dávid Márk Gábor. Headquarters sit at Marcius 15. utca 5-7 in Győr, with additional seats in the Philippines and Cyprus on the OmniLogic about page (opens in a new tab). iGaming Business (opens in a new tab) and InterGame Online (opens in a new tab) circulated the same release.

OpenBet already sells into this customer type. Veikkaus (opens in a new tab) launched an OpenBet sportsbook across digital channels and more than 4,000 POS terminals in May 2025. Loterie Romande (opens in a new tab) selected OpenBet for digital, retail, LoRoPlay+ self-service terminals and managed trading. Named relationships have also included OPAP (opens in a new tab) in Greece and SAZKA (opens in a new tab) in Czechia.

The buyer itself was assembled in public. A March 2025 management buyout took OpenBet out of Endeavor and into OB Global Holdings LLC, as recorded in OpenBet's buyout completion note (opens in a new tab) and Endeavor's Form 8-K. The related Schedule 13D/A (opens in a new tab) set out the OpenBet and IMG ARENA perimeter. Sportradar (opens in a new tab) later closed IMG ARENA on 3 November 2025, leaving OpenBet a cleaner independent sportsbook company. That is the organisation now buying a specialist lottery team.

Why the businesses fit

OpenBet can take OmniLogic's lottery sportsbook into accounts it already serves. OmniLogic gains a larger product suite and an international sales organisation.

President Nikos Konstakis said lotteries remain the core of OpenBet's growth strategy. He called the transaction a natural extension of partnering with operators in demanding regulated markets, and said OmniLogic adds proven technology, specialist expertise and established customer partnerships.

“Lotteries remain the core focus of our growth strategy, and OmniLogic has built a strong reputation in this sector through long-standing customer partnerships.”
Nikos Konstakis, President, OpenBet · OpenBet, 15 September 2026

The industrial logic is straightforward. OpenBet already serves large gaming and lottery organisations. OmniLogic adds technology designed for many of the same customers. National lotteries are not famous for casual software purchasing. A supplier that already owns those relationships can put another specialised product in front of the procurement teams that already know it.

FIGURE 1.2: Combined EMEA market penetration matrix and vendor network presence mapped against industry peers.

What OpenBet is buying is deeper delivery knowledge of that customer type. OmniLogic's published work is built for national lotteries and state-regulated operators: WLA-aligned architecture, secure transaction processing, regulator reporting and retail-plus-online hybrid estates. OpenBet attributes more than a decade of sportsbook service to major regulated lottery operators and WLA members to the OmniLogic team.

The acquisition compresses the time required to assemble the same combination of technology, engineers, customer relationships and deployment history internally. OpenBet already brings named lottery references, WLA Gold Contributor status (opens in a new tab) and a global account list. OmniLogic adds specialist lottery engineering, omnichannel delivery evidence and an EMEA team that has been doing this work. OpenBet says the specialist team principally based in Győr will join on completion.

Lottery sportsbook tenders reward that combination. Veikkaus's fixed-odds betting solution award to OpenBet, published in TED in January 2024, was a €14.2 million contract covering SaaS sportsbook technology, managed trading, implementation and consultancy, with quality carrying 70 percent of the evaluation weight in the Finnish public procurement notice. Those briefs score product breadth, references, delivery record, local resources and implementation capacity.

In August 2024 OpenBet reported that its customer base had grown more than 40 percent (opens in a new tab) to over 200 partners, including 20 WLA customers at that date. By May 2025 the lottery count was 21. OpenBet reports 85 licences across major regions. That is a distribution network OmniLogic does not have on its own.

Named OpenBet relationships have included Veikkaus, Loterie Romande, OPAP, SAZKA, Tabcorp, FanDuel, DraftKings, Entain and Sky Bet. OmniLogic does not publish a customer logo list, and this article does not infer one. Joining OpenBet places the specialist team behind a set of Tier-1 and lottery relationships that are already public on the buyer side, and behind a sales organisation that already knows how to prosecute those accounts.

“For our customers, it brings the additional scale, capabilities and product portfolio of OpenBet, while maintaining the specialist knowledge and continuity they value today.”

How the technology fits

A vertical 3D isometric cross-section blueprint detailing OpenBet and OmniLogic lottery sportsbook capability stack layers from WLA controls through retail, digital and mobile delivery

OmniLogic's Advanced Betting Platform is a lottery-shaped omnichannel sportsbook. OpenBet's modular engine, trading, player-protection and geolocation products sit around it. Connecting them gives operators a broader stack without requiring a day-one replacement of live estates.

Lottery sportsbook is a three-channel problem. Shops, digital and mobile have to price, report and settle as one estate. Veikkaus's OpenBet launch ran across the digital service and more than 4,000 POS terminals. Loterie Romande's mandate covered digital, retail, self-service terminals, trading and platform migration. OmniLogic describes ABP in the same terms: online, mobile and retail with unified pricing, live betting, cashout, bet builder and integrated trading.

OpenBet's public suite is a betting engine plus specialist modules. Managed Trading Services sit behind named lottery launches. Neccton supplies responsible-gaming, AML and fraud technology. Locator, built in-house on AWS and launched in May 2024, adds geofence management, location tracking and fraud-prevention tools. The company has spent years telling operators it can attach those modules rather than force a monolith.

OmniLogic's public suite is narrower and more lottery-specific. ABP is the sportsbook. Around it sit lottery and WLA-compliant controls, player-account management and wallet, risk and trading infrastructure, unified regulatory reporting, data engineering for high-throughput feeds, platform migration from legacy stacks, and SRE-led managed operations. Betradar/Sportradar and Sporting Index feeds are named as data integrations.

The disclosed stack includes Java and Spring Boot, Oracle, React, Kafka and Redis, with hybrid cloud or on-premises deployment and WLA-SCS-aligned controls listed among WLA-SCS certified suppliers (opens in a new tab). The more relevant point is how those components are being used. Kafka and Redis, for example, are consistent with the kind of event-driven and low-latency processing required when large numbers of sportsbook transactions are moving through a platform simultaneously.

A national lottery that wants sports betting across shops and digital needs a sportsbook that can price consistently, report to a regulator, survive peak load, migrate retail terminals and keep an audit trail. OpenBet has been winning those mandates with its own platform. OmniLogic has been building a stack expressly for that job. Connecting them through OpenBet's modular architecture and OmniLogic's open REST APIs is commercially useful. Existing customer deployments can stay independent while the products are offered as a broader suite.

Lottery accounts already on OpenBet could draw on additional specialist engineering for retail estates and omnichannel rollout. Adjacent OpenBet modules that could be offered into lottery relationships include managed trading, Neccton and Locator. Those are options, not announced attach sales. Continuity is the first customer requirement. Broader product is the second.

Kambi (opens in a new tab) is the clearest current comparable: Belgian National Lottery historically, OLG in Ontario from January 2026 (opens in a new tab), and a multi-province ALC/BCLC mandate (opens in a new tab). EveryMatrix (opens in a new tab) markets lottery software with omnichannel sports. Sportradar remains a major sportsbook, data and managed-trading counterpart, and now owns IMG ARENA. OpenBet was already in that field with named lottery deployments. OmniLogic gives it a dedicated lottery-sportsbook specialist team of a kind the public product map did not previously show.

Where OpenBet can distribute the product

Distribution leverage runs mainly one way in scale. OmniLogic's stack can sit behind OpenBet's published network of more than 200 customers, 85 licences and 21 lotteries. Hungary is a delivery seat inside a buyer that already operates lottery sportsbooks in Finland, Switzerland, Greece and Czechia.

Named OmniLogic seats only. OpenBet lottery references such as Veikkaus and Loterie Romande sit on the buyer side and are not shown as OmniLogic customers.

The code matters. So does knowing which procurement department will actually buy it. Lottery implementation is local, contractual and peak-load heavy. OmniLogic's contribution is a specialist team located in Hungary with EMEA operating experience, plus Cyprus project management and Philippines testing. Existing OpenBet lottery accounts could draw on that bench for retail estates and omnichannel rollout. Commercial sportsbook customers do not need to become lottery operators to benefit from a larger implementation organisation and a deeper lottery-grade audit and peak-load practice.

Lotteries are putting sports betting through digital channels while remaining large retail businesses. Veikkaus launched a new Pitkäveto fixed-odds platform with OpenBet in May 2025, expanding events and odds ahead of Finland's 2027 shift to a licence-based betting and online-casino market, a path described in the Veikkaus 2025 annual report (opens in a new tab). The operator will keep exclusive rights to lottery games, scratch cards, slots and physical table games. More than half of World Lottery Association members (opens in a new tab) now offer sports betting, which is why tenders keep being written for shops and digital as one estate.

B2B sportsbook suppliers are assembling broader platforms in response. EveryMatrix markets modular lottery, sports and casino technology. Kambi has taken the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation sportsbook from FDJ and has been selected by Atlantic Lottery and BCLC for a multi-province lottery sportsbook. OpenBet's answer is to add OmniLogic. Future lottery procurement teams will still compare several credible names. What changes is OpenBet's ability to answer an omnichannel brief with both a global platform record and a specialist lottery sportsbook team sitting in Central Europe.

How the combination could work

The practical sequence is close, team transfer, customer continuity, then a first combined deployment and a lottery sportsbook tender that bids the broader stack. Completion remains subject to regulatory approvals, with close expected in H2 2026.

A combined lottery tenderPublic shortlist or award in which the combined proposition is the bid.
Another regulated-market expansionA new lottery sportsbook mandate in the Veikkaus / Loterie Romande pattern after close.

One of the practical integration questions will be how the two technology environments are connected and where existing customer deployments remain independent. Live omnichannel estates do not pause for an ownership change. Value comes from putting OmniLogic's product into OpenBet's portfolio, giving the sales organisation another product to sell, and connecting the stacks where a tender or an existing account needs them together.

The scarce asset is people who have run lottery sportsbook. Making that transfer stick (founders, critical engineers, Philippines testing and Cyprus operations) is how operators keep the people they already work with. Adjacent operator combinations in the same series, including CIRSA's acquisition of Slots del Sol and Banijay Gaming's acquisition of Groupe JOA, show the same test: continuity first, then the broader platform. The Betsson acquisition of Rhino Canada's digital assets used the same continuity language for a private gaming combination.

Acquiry view. The value of the combination is fairly easy to see. OmniLogic adds specialist lottery sportsbook technology. OpenBet provides broader products, international distribution and relationships with many of the customers likely to use it. The acquisition therefore looks less like an isolated product addition and more like another step toward a broader gaming technology stack.

The best companies are acquired, not sold. This is that kind of purchase: a buyer identifying a specific capability, filling a specialist gap, and owning technology that is difficult to replicate quickly inside a customer set it already serves.
