Referral programme for advisers, brokers, lawyers & accountants

Bring us the deal. Keep the client.

Refer an owner, a buyer or a mandate and earn a referral fee of up to US$100,000 per completed deal. We qualify it fast, handle it under NDA, protect your relationship and put your fee in writing before any client detail changes hands.

No retainers. No upfront fees. Ever. Acquiry is paid on completion, and your referral fee is paid out of that fee within 30 days of us receiving it.

What you earn

Up to US$100,000

referral fee per completed deal

A real programme with written terms: you know what you earn, when you earn it and what is excluded before you share a single client name.

  • A share of our success fee

Your fee is a fixed share of the success fee Acquiry earns on the deal you introduced. Larger deals earn larger fees, up to US$100,000 per completed transaction.

  • Fixed before names are shared

The exact share, the cap and the protection period go into a signed referral agreement before you tell us who the client is. Nothing is agreed verbally.

  • Paid within 30 days

We pay your fee within 30 days of Acquiry receiving its own fee at completion, by bank transfer against your invoice.

Who we work with

You hear about the deal first. We help you land it.

Professionals are often the first to know a client wants to sell, raise or buy. Partner with us and that moment turns into a properly run process, without you giving up the relationship.

  • M&A advisers

Buy-side or sell-side mandates that need a wider buyer universe, a second origination channel or a counterparty you do not cover.

  • Business brokers

Listings that outgrow your usual buyer pool, cross-border interest, or digital assets where strategic and financial buyers pay more.

  • Lawyers

Clients who mention a sale, an approach or an acquisition plan. You stay their counsel; we run the commercial process alongside you.

  • Accountants

Owner-managed clients planning an exit, receiving offers or looking to buy. You keep the tax and accounts work; we bring the buyers.

Who can refer

A genuine relationship is the only entry requirement.

Eligible

  • M&A advisers, corporate finance boutiques and investment bankers
  • Business brokers and marketplace operators
  • Lawyers, accountants, tax advisers and wealth managers
  • Fractional CFOs, consultants, operating partners and investors
  • Any professional with a genuine relationship with an owner, buyer or investor

Not eligible

  • Introductions where you are an owner, employee or director of the business being sold, unless disclosed and agreed in writing
  • Contacts already in an active Acquiry conversation or process when you register
  • Names taken from public lists, databases or cold outreach with no relationship behind them
  • Introductions where a referral fee would breach your own professional or regulatory rules

Two ways in

Introduce an opportunity, or commission us to find one.

Route one

Introduce an opportunity

You know a business that may sell, raise or acquire. Register the introduction with us, we qualify it, and if it fits we take it forward with you in the loop.

  • Register before any contact is made, so your introduction is on record
  • Anonymised first review, no client name needed to start
  • You choose how involved you stay through the process
Register an introduction

Route two

Commission sourcing

Your client wants to buy, or needs buyers you cannot reach. Brief us on the criteria and we run origination for you, reporting back under your name or ours.

  • Off-market target or buyer origination against a written brief
  • Shortlists screened and qualified before anything reaches your client
  • Reporting cadence agreed up front, you stay the client lead
Commission sourcing

What we need from you

Ten facts. No client name.

This is enough to register your introduction, check it against our records and tell you whether we can help. The client name comes later, after the NDA and referral agreement are signed.

About you

  • Your name, firm and role
  • Email and phone
  • How you know the owner or buyer

About the opportunity

  • Sector and what the business does
  • Country or region
  • Revenue or EBITDA band
  • Sell, raise, buy or partner

About timing

  • What has prompted it now
  • Whether the client knows you are referring
  • Any adviser already appointed

How qualification works

A straight answer, then a written agreement.

We tell you quickly whether we can add value. If we can, the NDA and your fee letter are signed before any client detail changes hands.

  1. Step 1

    Register

Send the outline: sector, size band, geography and what the owner or buyer wants. No names needed yet.

  2. Step 2

    Qualify

We check fit against live buyer demand and our own criteria, then tell you plainly whether we can add value.

  3. Step 3

    Agree terms

Before any client details change hands, we sign a mutual NDA and a referral agreement setting your fee, cap and 24-month protection window.

  4. Step 4

    Run the process

We take the opportunity forward with you informed at each milestone you have asked to see.

  5. Step 5

    Get paid on completion

Your share is paid from our success fee when the deal completes, exactly as your fee letter sets out.

How attribution works

Who brought the deal is never in question.

First registered, first credited

An introduction is credited to the first partner who registers it with enough detail for us to identify the opportunity. You get a reference number and a date-stamped confirmation by email.

Checked against our records in two working days

We confirm within two working days whether the contact is new to Acquiry. If it is already known to us, we tell you straight away and explain why, before you share anything else.

24-month protection window

If a deal with the introduced party completes within 24 months of registration, your fee is payable, even if the first conversation went quiet and was revived later.

Covers the party, not just the first deal

Protection applies to the introduced owner or buyer and the transaction set out in your agreement. Follow-on deals with the same party can be added in writing.

Existing-contact exclusions

An introduction is not eligible for a referral fee when:

  • The contact already has an open conversation, mandate or signed NDA with Acquiry on the date you register
  • The contact approached Acquiry directly, or through another partner, before your registration was received
  • The opportunity is a public listing, auction or process we were already invited to
  • We cannot verify a real relationship between you and the contact

When fees are agreed and paid

From registration to payment.

Your fee is fixed in writing before the client name is shared, and paid once the deal completes.

  1. At registration

Reference number and date-stamped confirmation sent to you.

  2. Within 2 working days

We confirm the contact is new to us, or explain why it is not.

  3. Before names are shared

Mutual NDA and referral agreement signed: your share, cap and 24-month window.

  4. During the process

Milestone updates at the level you chose: none, key stages or every step.

  5. At completion

Acquiry receives its success fee. You invoice for your agreed share.

  6. Within 30 days

Your referral fee is paid by bank transfer.

Confidentiality & relationship protection

Your client stays your client.

Referral partners worry about being cut out. We built the process so that question never comes up.

  • Confidentiality first

Mutual NDA before any client detail is shared. Opportunities are discussed on a no-names basis until you and your client say otherwise.

  • Your relationship stays yours

We never approach your client around you, never solicit their other work and never cut you out of a deal you brought us.

  • Introductions on record

Every introduction is logged with a date and reference when you register it, so who brought what is never in question.

  • Fees in writing, every time

Your share, when it is paid and how long your introduction stays protected are written into a fee letter before work starts.

Written fee agreements

No retainers. No upfront fees. Ever.

Acquiry is paid only when a deal completes. Your share comes out of that fee and is set out in a signed fee letter before work starts.

  • No retainers and no upfront fees, ever, for you or your client
  • Acquiry is paid a success fee on completion, and your share comes out of that
  • Referral fees of up to US$100,000 per completed deal, agreed per introduction in a signed referral agreement
  • Paid within 30 days of Acquiry receiving its fee, by bank transfer against your invoice
  • Nothing is owed by anyone if a deal does not complete

Questions partners ask

The short answers.

Do you charge retainers or upfront fees?

No. Acquiry never charges retainers or upfront fees, to you or to your client. We are paid a success fee when a deal completes, and any share due to you is paid from that fee.

How is my introduction protected?

When you register an introduction it is logged with a date and reference. Before any client details are shared we sign a mutual NDA and a written fee letter that sets out your share and how long your introduction stays protected.

How much can I earn?

Referral fees run up to US$100,000 per completed deal. Your fee is a share of the success fee Acquiry earns on that deal, so it scales with deal size. The exact share and cap are written into your referral agreement before you share the client name.

When and how am I paid?

Within 30 days of Acquiry receiving its success fee at completion, by bank transfer against your invoice. If a deal completes in stages, your fee follows the same stages as ours.

What if you already know the contact?

We check every registration against our records and tell you within two working days. If the contact already has an open conversation, mandate or NDA with us, the introduction is not eligible, and we tell you before you share anything more.

How long is my introduction protected?

For 24 months from the date you register it. If a deal with the introduced party completes inside that window, your fee is payable, even if talks paused and restarted.

Can I refer if I am not an M&A professional?

Yes, if you have a genuine relationship with an owner, buyer or investor: consultants, fractional CFOs, operating partners and investors refer to us too. The one test is a real relationship, not a name from a list.

Is a referral fee allowed under my professional rules?

That depends on your profession and jurisdiction, and you should check your own rules. Some lawyers and accountants must disclose referral fees to their client or decline them. We will put the fee in writing in whatever form your rules require, or waive it if you cannot accept one.

Will you contact my client directly?

Only with your agreement and in the way you choose. We never approach your client around you or solicit their other work.

Do I need to share the client name to start?

No. The first review is on a no-names basis: sector, size band, geography and what the owner or buyer wants are enough to tell you whether we can help.

Can I commission sourcing for a buyer client?

Yes. Brief us on your client’s acquisition criteria and we run off-market origination against it, screening and qualifying targets before they reach your client.

What sectors and markets do you cover?

We focus on digital, software, AI, fintech and media businesses worldwide, but we are not limited to them. Any sector, any market, bring it to us anyway.
