How We Source, Check and Publish Deal Intelligence.

Primary sources first. Every figure dated. A clear line between what was disclosed and what we think it means.

What Deal Intelligence is for

Acquiry Deal Intelligence publishes long-form analysis of announced mergers and acquisitions in software, AI, fintech, gaming, media and digital infrastructure. Each piece explains what was agreed, how the price was built, and what the transaction signals for founders, acquirers and investors.

The desk is run by Acquiry, an M&A advisory firm. That practitioner view is the value we add: we read deals the way a buyer or seller would, and we say so plainly.

Sourcing

Every factual claim in an article traces to a source a reader can check. We work from the most primary source available and list it in the article references.

  • Regulatory filings (SEC, Companies House, stock exchange announcements) and official company releases come first.
  • Investor presentations, earnings calls and court or regulator decisions come next.
  • Reputable financial press is used to corroborate, never as the only basis for a number.
  • Anonymous sources are not used for deal terms.

Verification and figures

Headline terms (price, consideration mix, multiples, timetable) are checked against at least one primary source before publication. Every article carries a "figures as at" date so readers know exactly which information it reflects.

Where we calculate a figure ourselves, such as an implied revenue multiple or a share-issuance effect, the article labels it as Acquiry modelling and shows the inputs. Modelled figures are never presented as disclosed terms.

Fact and view

Articles separate reporting from analysis. Analysis sections are clearly headed and carry the author byline, so readers can tell what the parties disclosed from what Acquiry thinks it means.

Research tools

Our analysts use software, including AI-assisted research tools, to gather filings, summarise long documents and check arithmetic. A named analyst reviews every article, owns its conclusions and is accountable for its accuracy. Machine output is never published unchecked.

Independence and conflicts

Acquiry does not accept payment for coverage and does not publish analysis of a live transaction on which it is retained by any party. If the firm has a relationship with a company we cover, the article discloses it.

Calls to action in articles point to our own advisory services. They sit outside the analysis and never shape its conclusions.

Dates and updates

Each article shows when it was first published and when it was last updated, in UTC. Material updates, such as revised terms, completion or regulatory decisions, are noted in the article and move the updated time. Typo fixes do not.

Corrections

Accuracy matters more to us than speed. Our full process for reporting and fixing errors is set out in the corrections policy at acquiry.com/corrections-policy/.
