The deal
The announcement, the cash price and how it sits beside Amdocs’ fiscal 2026 results.
Amdocs acquires EIS for approximately $340 million in cash
Amdocs announced on 3 November 2026 that it has acquired EIS for approximately $340 million in cash, with additional consideration tied to performance metrics.
The announcement was published on both the EIS (opens in a new tab) and Amdocs websites on 3 November 2026, datelined Jersey City, New Jersey. Amdocs is the acquirer and EIS the acquired company. Amdocs is acquiring EIS “for a consideration of approximately $340 million in cash,” and the release adds that further consideration “may be paid later based on the achievement of certain performance metrics.” Amdocs’ fourth-quarter results release (opens in a new tab), published the same day, records the transaction in its capital allocation summary alongside its dividend and share repurchase activity.
Amdocs states that further information about the acquisition would be provided on its earnings conference call for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, held on 3 November 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The same release carried the company’s results for the year to 30 September 2026, an eight-year agreement with AT&T and new aOS agreements with VodafoneThree, VEON and Globe, so the EIS acquisition was announced as one part of a broader set of strategic announcements.
Insurance shares the traits that built Amdocs in telecommunications
Shimie Hortig, President and Chief Executive Officer of Amdocs, frames the acquisition as a deliberate step in the company’s growth strategy. Hortig says, “Expanding into a new vertical is a key pillar of our growth strategy, and today we are taking an important first step.” The announcement explains why insurance was chosen: insurers “operate in highly regulated environments with complex and mission-critical platforms, and data-intensive workflows – many of the same characteristics that have defined Amdocs’ success in telecommunications.”
Our vision is to become the partner of choice for insurers, helping them accelerate their journey to the agentic era – bringing AI into the core with the governance and accountability a regulated industry requires. EIS gives us a strong foundation to pursue that vision and build a meaningful insurance business over time.

Amdocs announced the acquisition on 3 November 2026 alongside its fourth-quarter results.
Combining aOS with the EIS platform brings new agentic capabilities
Alec Miloslavsky, Founder of EIS, welcomes the combination from the EIS side. He says EIS “has always focused on helping insurers adapt and innovate at the speed of their business” and that the company shares Amdocs’ vision of bringing industry-specific AI into core operations. In his words, “Combining aOS with EIS’ platform and insurance expertise can bring new agentic capabilities to insurers and accelerate innovation,” and he adds that he is excited about what the two companies can achieve together for customers, partners and people.
A $340 million cash price set against $4.7 billion of annual revenue
The consideration is paid in cash by a buyer that delivered fiscal 2026 revenue of $4,697 million and free cash flow of $562 million.
The consideration is entirely in cash, which gives EIS’ owners certainty of value at the point of the announcement. The buyer’s own numbers frame the scale. Amdocs delivered fiscal 2026 revenue of $4,697 million, up 3.6% year on year and 3.0% in constant currency, and fourth-quarter revenue of $1,194 million, up 3.8%. Managed services revenue was $3,023 million, equivalent to approximately 64% of total revenue, and the twelve-month backlog stood at $3.50 billion at the end of the fourth quarter.
Free cash flow of $562 million sits behind the purchase
Amdocs’ results release reports free cash flow of $562 million for fiscal 2026, comprised of cash flow from operations of $673 million less $111 million in net capital expenditures and other. During the year the company repurchased $511 million of ordinary shares, and in the fourth quarter alone it repurchased $83 million. The Board approved a 3% increase in the quarterly cash dividend, from $0.569 per share to $0.586 per share, anticipated to be first paid in April 2027, subject to shareholder approval at the January 2027 annual general meeting.

Amdocs delivered fiscal 2026 free cash flow of $562 million.
Two term loans of $500 million in aggregate were secured in October 2026
The release lists one financing arrangement alongside the acquisition: in October 2026, “Amdocs secured two term loans, for an aggregate amount of $500 million.” The release presents the loans and the acquisition as separate items and does not link them, so this report places them side by side rather than connecting them. The same release states that the fiscal 2027 full-year revenue guidance “includes some inorganic contribution, including the acquisition of EIS,” and that GAAP diluted EPS guidance for the year does not include the impact of the acquisition of EIS.
Fiscal 2028 expectations point to mid-single digit revenue growth
Looking further ahead, Amdocs provides fiscal 2028 expectations for mid-single digit revenue growth, high-single digit earnings growth and a steadily rising dividend. Hortig says the company believes “our growing strategic momentum, expansion into the insurance market and internal transformation will position us for long-term growth and improved profitability.” The data workbook below turns the sourced inputs into ratios on the page itself: the price as a share of annual revenue, of free cash flow and of twelve-month backlog, and the October term loans as a multiple of the price. Every ratio is calculated from the sourced figures and none is typed by hand.

The platform
What EIS has built, who runs on it and how AI sits inside its core.
EIS has built insurance core software since 2008, from policy to claims
EIS was founded in 2008 and offers CustomerCore, PolicyCore, BillingCore, ClaimCore and ClaimSmart on a cloud-native, API-first architecture.
According to its company page (opens in a new tab), EIS was “founded in 2008” with its eye on the future of insurance and on core systems as the engine behind everything. In 2014 it rebranded from “Exigen Insurance Solutions” to simply “EIS,” which it says sparked a renewed focus on a modern, MACH-based platform able to integrate new technology while keeping strong insurance functionality. MACH stands for microservices, API-first, cloud-native and headless, and EIS built EIS OneSuite, now powered by CoreGentic, in the cloud following those principles.
CustomerCore, PolicyCore, BillingCore, ClaimCore and ClaimSmart form the core
EIS describes its platform as an open, event-driven, real-time-responsive core that removes data silos across the insurance value chain, with core solutions that feature CustomerCore, PolicyCore, BillingCore, ClaimCore and ClaimSmart. Policy administration covers quoting, issuing, endorsing, renewing and cancelling policies. Billing manages invoicing, payment processing and reconciliation. Claims covers first notice of loss through payment. CustomerCore combines data from various sources into comprehensive customer profiles. EIS DXP is an API middleware platform that manages the interfaces between front-end applications and back-end microservices, and EIS Portals provide configurable access for customers, brokers, vendors and other personas.

EIS covers policy, billing, claims and customer engagement in one platform.
Milestones include a 2021 TPG Growth investment and a 2022 claims acquisition
The EIS timeline records a steady build. EIS was recognized as a “Visionary” in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant in 2017, launched its SaaS offering in 2018 and received a TPG Growth investment in 2021. In 2022 it acquired Metromile Enterprise Business Solutions, now the ClaimSmart products. In 2024 ClaimCore and ClaimGuard were named Celent Technology Standouts, and in 2025 EIS earned MACH certification, was again recognized by Celent for policy administration and became the first insurance core system provider to obtain ISO/IEC 42001 certification.
A founder who co-founded Genesys leads the company
The EIS leadership page (opens in a new tab) introduces Alec Miloslavsky as founder and Chief Executive Officer, a technology entrepreneur with more than two decades of leadership experience. Earlier in his career he co-founded Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and helped lead the company through its initial public offering and its $1.9 billion acquisition by Alcatel. Mike Dwyer, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President, manages an engineering organization of more than 200 people in the United States and abroad. Rich Fisher is President and Chief Operating Officer, and Sergiy Synyanskyy is Chief Financial Officer.
EIS serves dozens of leading carriers, from Aflac and CSAA to Desjardins and BNP Paribas Cardif
EIS serves dozens of leading insurance carriers globally, and its customer stories include AIG Canada, iAAH and RedClick.
The customer base is one of the assets Amdocs highlights. The announcement states that EIS “serves dozens of leading insurance carriers globally including Aflac, CSAA, Allstate, Desjardins, BNP Paribas Cardif and others.” The EIS customers page (opens in a new tab) adds detail, with transformation stories from Atlantic American Employee Benefits, esure, Renaissance Life & Health, Wellfleet and CSAA Insurance Group, among others. It also cites a Celent Model Insurer case study in which AIG Canada used EIS OneSuite to deploy 27 new products across four product lines in 11 months.
Customers describe the platform in their own words on the same page. Liberty Mutual Benefits recalls that the team “set an aggressive goal to bring new products to market in just nine months,” and Renaissance Life and Health’s chief executive says the solution “allowed us to create an ecosystem unifying our core and digital operations across multiple lines of business.” These are company-published customer statements and are presented here as such.

EIS software supports home, auto, life and other insurance products for its carrier customers.
iAAH went live on OneSuite with a stepwise modernization
On 28 January 2026 EIS announced that Industrial Alliance Auto and Home, named Canada’s best auto insurer in 2025 by Forbes, had gone live on EIS OneSuite powered by CoreGentic. Unlike traditional rip-and-replace programs, iAAH chose “a strategic, stepwise modernization approach enabled by the open, API-rich and event-driven architecture of EIS OneSuite.” Hugo Fortin, President and Chief Operating Officer of iA Auto and Home, says the new technology foundation “enables us to quickly integrate solutions tailored to our customers’ needs and respond efficiently to market changes.”
RedClick consolidates onto OneSuite and serves more than 250,000 customers
On 15 September 2025 RedClick, the commercial brand of the Generali Group in the Irish property and casualty market, announced the continuation of its partnership with EIS and the evolution of its use of EIS OneSuite. RedClick was established in 2024 following the Generali Group’s acquisition of Liberty Mutual’s operations in Ireland. It serves more than 250,000 customers, works with over 250 broker agencies and employs more than 400 people across offices in Dublin, Cavan and Enniskillen. Michael Hampson, General Manager EMEA & APAC of EIS, says RedClick’s “strategic consolidation onto EIS OneSuite” showcases its innovative approach and commitment to customer-centric excellence.
CoreGentic puts AI agents and natural-language control inside the insurance core
EIS OneSuite powered by CoreGentic embeds AI, agentic orchestration and natural-language control directly into the core, backed by ISO/IEC 42001 certification.
The word “agentic” in the Amdocs announcement refers to a specific product step. On 2 October 2025 EIS announced EIS OneSuite powered by CoreGentic (opens in a new tab), a major expansion of its flagship platform that embeds AI, agentic orchestration and natural-language control directly into the core. EIS says the result lets insurers configure, operate and adapt their systems at speed while lowering the cost and risk of change, with AI agents orchestrating complex processes and insight-driven workflows improving efficiency.
Legacy systems have made change in insurance slow, costly, and risky.
Dwyer adds that OneSuite powered by CoreGentic “changes that equation,” and that business teams can respond to change, launch products, update rules and automate workflows “in hours instead of months,” and that change which once took months of IT effort “can now happen safely in days.” To keep each action contextual, compliant and safe, EIS integrated these tools with the EIS Knowledge Base, a domain-specific model aligned with compliance, security and human oversight.

EIS embeds AI, agentic orchestration and natural-language control in the core platform.
ISO/IEC 42001 certification made EIS the first in its category
On 25 June 2025 EIS announced that it had achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification, the world’s first international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems, and described itself as the first insurance technology provider to do so. The certification was provided by CPSI Certifications, with engagement management and SOC services from CyberGuard Advantage LLP. Dennis Cunanan, Managing Director of CPSI Certifications, confirms that the audit “demonstrated that EIS has implemented measures aligned with the standard’s requirements, particularly in the areas of data protection and organizational awareness.”
MACH Alliance research: 94% link composable architecture to faster AI deployment
In June 2026 EIS highlighted the MACH Alliance Enterprise Technology Report at its Transformation Summit in Dublin. The report found that 94% of organizations said composable architecture increases the speed of AI deployment and 87% said it enables AI-driven business outcomes, and that nearly nine in ten organizations cited barriers to AI implementation, with integration complexity, older technology and fragmented data among the most significant. EIS describes itself as the only MACH-certified insurance core platform provider, and Dwyer says the return on AI investment “increasingly depends on the underlying architecture supporting them.”
Part III of III
The strategy
Amdocs’ base, aOS in insurance and the path the company has set out.
Amdocs brings 40 years of mission-critical systems and an eight-year AT&T agreement
Amdocs has more than 40 years of experience serving communications companies and announced an eight-year aOS agreement with AT&T on the same day.
Amdocs “develops, transforms and operates the mission-critical systems that businesses depend on every day.” With more than 40 years of experience serving the world’s leading communications companies, it combines proprietary technology, industry expertise and end-to-end accountability, and it runs billions of transactions daily. Its about page (opens in a new tab) cites around 400 customers globally, more than 350 operators worldwide and three billion people impacted by its solutions. Fiscal 2026 revenue of $4,697 million is the base from which the insurance vertical now starts.
aOS is the core of the new growth strategy
Hortig describes aOS, the Agentic Operating System for telco, as the core pillar of the new growth strategy developed since taking over as CEO “two quarters ago.” In her words, aOS is “quickly gaining market traction.” On the day of the EIS announcement Amdocs also announced “a significant, eight-year strategic agreement with AT&T, our largest customer,” as well as strategic aOS deals with VodafoneThree in the UK, VEON in Eurasia and Globe in the Philippines, which Hortig presents as examples of how aOS is “enabling Amdocs to expand its activities.”

Amdocs announced an eight-year aOS agreement with AT&T on the same day as the EIS acquisition.
The AT&T agreement pairs aOS with an AI-enabled delivery framework
In the AT&T announcement (opens in a new tab), the two companies describe an eight-year agreement that pairs aOS with AT&T’s AI-enabled delivery framework. They will work as one delivery team and share responsibility for delivering projects faster while reducing the total cost of modernizing and operating critical systems. Jeremy Legg, Chief Technology Officer of AT&T, says AI delivers the greatest value “when it is grounded in the business, technology and people it supports.” The model of shared accountability is the same approach Amdocs says it will bring to insurers.
A focus on the agentic future includes the exit of two activities
Hortig explains that, as part of the focus of the new strategy, the company “decided to exit certain businesses and activities that aren’t strategically relevant to our agentic future,” including the sale of its media business and the exit of non-strategic business activities relating to the resale of hardware activities. The release adjusts fiscal 2026 revenue by approximately $360 million on a pro forma basis to reflect these actions, which were substantially already taken in the first quarter of fiscal 2027. The EIS acquisition, in that context, adds a vertical that fits the strategy rather than a business outside it.
aOS will be extended into insurance, and EIS now sits inside Amdocs
Amdocs will extend aOS into insurance to enhance the EIS platform, and has said what its fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028 outlook includes.
Amdocs sets out the plan in one sentence of its announcement: “Developed for telecommunications, aOS will be extended into insurance to enhance EIS’ platform and help insurers bring AI and agentic capabilities into their core operations.” The company aims to create a differentiated offering for insurers by combining EIS’ technology and vertical expertise with aOS as well as Amdocs’ scale, engineering, services, transformation capabilities and its proven accountability-driven business model. The EIS newsroom (opens in a new tab) now carries the banner “EIS is now part of Amdocs.”
What Amdocs has said about guidance and timing
Amdocs has been specific about how the acquisition appears in its outlook. Fiscal 2027 revenue guidance “includes some inorganic contribution, including the acquisition of EIS,” GAAP diluted EPS guidance does not include the impact of the acquisition, and the company says it will provide further information on its earnings call. Hortig describes insurance as “a strategic medium- to long-term growth engine for Amdocs,” and the stated aim is to “build a meaningful insurance business over time.” Additional consideration to the sellers depends on the achievement of certain performance metrics, which ties part of the value to what the combined business delivers.
